An accessible gym for every body

The Access Fitness Story
Our accessible gym began in 2010, created to provide an inclusive exercise and rehabilitation environment for people living with permanent or temporary disabilities, and took the name Access Fitness in 2012. As one of the first facilities of its kind in South Australia, it was built on the belief that everyone should have access to safe, evidence-based exercise, regardless of their physical abilities.
More than just a gym, Access Fitness is a specialised allied health exercise and rehabilitation facility where people are supported to improve their strength, mobility, confidence and independence in a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Our purpose-designed facility features wheelchair-accessible equipment and adaptive exercise technology, enabling people of all abilities to participate in exercise safely. Every program is tailored to the individual's goals, abilities and health needs, with support provided by experienced Allied Health Professionals, including Exercise Physiologists, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
Whether recovering from injury, managing a neurological condition, living with a disability or chronic health condition, or simply wanting to improve your overall health and wellbeing, our team works alongside you to achieve meaningful and lasting outcomes.
At Access Fitness, we focus on helping people:
- Improve strength, fitness and endurance
- Increase mobility, balance and physical function
- Build confidence and independence in everyday activities
- Recover following injury or surgery
- Manage chronic health conditions through exercise
- Participate in safe, supervised exercise programs
- Achieve personal health and rehabilitation goals in a supportive community
Our supervised programs combine clinical expertise with a friendly, social atmosphere where every person is encouraged, supported and empowered to reach their full potential.
At Access Fitness, we believe exercise should be accessible to everyone.
